Happenings and missives from a collection of oddly curious and curiously odd.

Field Archives Forum

Have you felt something? seen something?

Are you ready to investigate? You will have an email from Rain waiting in your inbox now. Read it and follow the prompts. This forum exists to answer any questions that come up along the way.

Post a photo of yourself at the portal and don’t scrimp on the details. Where were you? What time of day? You may notice our portable shadow boxes carry evidence invisible to the naked eye.

Each photo you post will provide evidence that the appropriate number of bodies have entered the portal. It is my belief that when we have had enough interaction in the known 8, the 9th anomaly will reveal itself! Then, we will gather and hope to enter Nebula together, finally.

  • I found my first anomaly back on October 11th, dragging a weary scene partner on the adventure. I wasn’t exactly sure what we were looking for (a sticker? a folded clue?), so I wasn’t positive if it was even still there. Once I expanded my radius, it was easily found. Some nearby travelers were puzzled by its existence (they merely noticed the marker while resting, and the codes can be tricky). I hope they continued on with the search.

After that I had to leave town, life got busy, and I was content to just play from home. I had been to all of these places before, though many I had not seen for an age.

Cut to today, I found myself with need for an adventure and the time to devote to it.

The second rift was missing its marker, but between the clues and the forum, I’m sure I was on the right path.

The third encourages one to stay a while and wander in wonder (and gratitude) that the city allows a place like this to persist.

The fourth felt like a hunt. I wasn’t sure if I was there until I was.

The fifth is one of my favorite places (though their liberal use of buckwheat certainly makes it a dance with danger for me). I’m shocked that I didn’t see it sooner. It ought to be a lesson to me to observe my surroundings, especially in the old, familiar places. My mom got caught in the adventure, and was paid in kind with pastry.
